Step by Step:

Item classes () appear on the inventory tree. They are updated on the 15th and 30th of the month and are based on sales of the item over the past 12 months. 

Use the Reclassify Items Batch Process option to manually recalculate the item classes for each item in inventory.

Step 1: Go to Administration > Inventory > Utilities > Reclassify Items Batch Process.

Step 2: Click Yes. This is generally a long process and should be done before or after store hours.

All item classes will be recalculated according to the sales history for the past 12 months. These new classes will be displayed in the green, red, gray or blue box next to each item (color indicates Item Type).
