Hold Transactions
Voided items are no longer saved when POS transactions are placed on hold.

 

Customer        

Kits
Kits will now print according to the kit setup selections (print items, print item prices, etc).  Previously, the first kit added to the transaction would dictate how all other kits would print.

Kit line items appear in gray when viewing the transaction in Evosus.
Inactivate Customers
Additional checks are now done when inactivating customers:
•Cannot have open, active contract
•Cannot have open, active job
•Cannot have open quote or order
•Cannot have balance due
Locations
Inactive location records can no longer be searched when searching customers.
Locations
Selecting a different location (address) record on the Profile menu of the Customer Profile now marks that address as the default Bill To.
Credit Memos
Auto-created credit memos can now be voided (wording changed to Write Off).  Voiding an auto-created credit memo (such as a deposit converted to an account credit) will post to the Miscellaneous Income account defined in Accounting Defaults.
Return Invoices
Invoicing Return Orders now automatically create a credit memo in the amount of the invoice.  The return invoice will close and the credit memo can be refunded or left as a credit on the customer’s account.
Return Invoices
Force closing return invoices now records the revenue to the GL account associated to the Miscellaneous Income Accounting Defaults selection.
Addresses
Bill To and Ship To addresses can now be moved separately on customer transactions, such as orders and invoices.

Added Canadian province Nunavut.

Warn users if no email is entered when adding new customers.
Search
Added default phone number and email address to customer search grid.
Right Click
Accessing the Site Profile via right click now takes you to the Site menu.

Employee

Sales Manager
The Sales Manager consolidates lead and sales data into a single screen for easy access to all sales data.  Permissions control whether users can view their data or all employee data.
 
Clicking My Leads, My Customers, My Quotes, My Orders & Invoices, My Commission and My Sales Goals buttons on the Employee tab takes you to the Sales Manager view.

Lead Flags

Marketing                        

Contact Type
Administration>Marketing>General Setup>Contact Type
Current defaults are Face-to-Face, Internet/Email and Phone Call.  These selections can now be edited or inactivated.

Interest Level
Administration>Marketing>General Setup>Interest Level
Current default include Hot, Warm, Maybe, Cool and Cold.  These selections can now be edited or inactivated.

Inventory

Add Items
Selecting Fixed Price or Retail Margin on the Item Add screen now dictates what data can be entered in the Sell, Purchase and Retail Margin fields.
•Retail Margin – When selected, user can enter Purchase Cost and Margin.  Evosus will calculate the proper Sell price.
•Fixed Price – When selected, user can enter Sell price and Purchase cost.  Evosus will display the calculated retail margin.
Physical Count
Physical count will now pay attention to the “created date” of the item activity rather than the processing date.  This ensures the “Transactions Since Count” information is accurate.
Purchase Orders
Update to how cancelled line items are handled:
•Cancelled line items now appear in red
•Cancelled line items can no longer be edited
ICPO Types
ICPO types (Special Order and Replenish) can be managed from Administration>Inventory>General Setup>Inter-Company Purchase Order Types.

Return Reason
Return Reasons can now be managed from a new Add/Update form.
Unit of Measure
Unit of Measure can now be extended to four decimals.

Fixed price discount levels will now be recognized when set to $0.00.

Fixed error that appeared when special characters were used in search fields.

Update Task
Schedule update screen displays the number of times a task has been rescheduled.

Evosus Mobile Service        

Service Tasks
Mobile Service sync no longer fails when more than 35 tasks are sent to the phone.  If more than 35 tasks are included in the sync, then less data is sent to the phone, such as truncated customer preview text, elimination of last 5 service calls and no equipment history.
Orders
Data sent back to Evosus related to Closed orders will no longer update the order.  Instead, a mobile conflict action item is sent.
Equipment
Equipment history is limited to 15 most recent equipment entries.
Orders
Data conflicts are now added to the order’s internal notes.
Order Queues
New queue rule has been added for mobile data conflicts.  All orders with mobile data conflicts are sent to the queue for review.

 

Job Costing

Job Board
The Job Board allows you to quickly view the status of all jobs by Phase.  Color coding of phases allows you to quickly identify status of the job.  Job Board can be viewed by dollar amount or date.
Change Order Types
Change Order Types can now be managed from a new Add/Update form that allows you to select a default or force Change Order type selection each time.

Accounting

Tax Authority
New “Receipts” Tax Authority type has been added to support receipts/excise tax in South Dakota.

Added Audit Log to Accounting Defaults which records all changes to default, such as GL accounts, fiscal year starting month or inventory costing method.

Added “Deposit Clearing” accounting default selection under Accounts Receivable tab.  Used when converting deposit into credit memos (for instance, canceling an order with an applied deposit).

Passwords
Password updates as per PCI-PADSS compliance requirements:
•Employee passwords must be changed every 90 days.
•Passwords must be at least seven characters with numbers and letters.
•Password cannot match the last four passwords used.
•User will be locked out if incorrect login information is entered for than six times.  User will be locked out for 30 minutes or until the Admin resets the password.
•Evosus will lock if user is not active for 15 minutes.  User must enter username and password to unlock the software.
Audit Log
Master Audit Log has been added to consolidate audit log data including:
•Security overrides
•User logins
•Contract updates
•Schedule changes
•Accounting default changes
•Credit memo updates

Evosus Card Services by PPI

Encryption
Evosus now supports rotating encryption for storing credit card data as per PCI-PADSS compliance requirements.  It is the users responsibility to regular rotate the encryption key by going to Administration>Evosus Card Services by PPI>Secure Card Data/Encryption Key Maintenance.  Users will receive a reminder every 90 days to purge card holder data. You can select which users to receive this message via Administration>System>Miscellaneous>Evosus Notifications.
Cardholder Data
Evosus now allows users to purge cardholder data from transactions.  It is recommended that users purge data on a regular basis by going to Administration>Evosus Card Services by PPI>Secure Card Data/Encryption Key Maintenance window.   Users will receive a reminder every 90 days to purge card holder data. You can select which users to receive this message via Administration>System>Miscellaneous>Evosus Notifications.
 
NOTE:  This is purging card data stored at the transaction level NOT active cards on file.  For instance, you can view the last four digits of a card from the payment record on the customer’s profile.  Purging card holder data would remove the last four digits from the screen and would remove the encrypted card number from the database.
Card Processing
Legacy Evosus Card Services has been removed from v6.0.  Evosus Card Services by PPI must be used to process credit cards in Evosus.
 
Companies processing credit cards with old ECS must switch to PPI or discontinue use of Evosus Card Services prior to accepting the 6.0 release.

 

Product Setup Tool

Priority
Added Priority to the grid.
Open AR Balances
Added GST field to Enter Beginning Balances data entry screen.  GST information appears on the Sales Tax Due report in its own section.
•Accrual version will immediately display the GST figure.
•Cash version displays GST figure once beginning balance entry is “locked.”
