Details:

Event Notifications are used to notify employee(s) of certain events or actions. If an employee is selected to be notified of a specific event, they will receive an Action Item each time the event occurs. 

 - To assign an employee to receive an Event Notification, highlight the event and check the box next to the employee’s name. Employees can go to the Employee Tab on the Main Menu and click My Action Items to view notifications. 

 - To access Event Notifications go to Administration > System > Miscellaneous > Evosus Notifications.

Employees will be notified of any active contracts that have an overdue balance.

Evosus Card Services Settlement Issues

Employees will be notified of errors that have occurred during the credit card settlement process.


Evosus Database has NOT been backed up

Evosus will send a notification if the Evosus SQL database has not been backed up in the last 24 hours.  Before calling Evosus Support, have your local IT support confirm that the Windows Service named SQL Server Agent is running on the server or host workstation where SQL is installed and make sure the password for the "Run As" account has not been recently changed.  

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!!  Your Evosus database has not been backed up recently. Please contact Evosus support immediately to get your database backed up. Failure to do so may result in lost data.


Evosus Nightly Batch Job has NOT run

Evosus will send a notification if the Nightly Job (Windows scheduled tasks named EvosusDaemon) has not run in the last 24 hours.  Before calling Evosus Support, have your local IT support confirm that the Windows Schedule Task named Evosus Daemon exists on the host workstation or server where the Evosus application is installed.  If it does exist, confirm that the Last Run Time is within the last 2 hours and has returned a Result of 0x0.  Note:  Common causes for the Nightly Job to fail is a change in the password for the "Run As" account.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!!  Your Evosus nightly batch job has not run recently. Please contact Evosus support immediately to get this working again.  This nightly batch job does many important tasks including settling your credit card batches.

Inventory – Warn When Item Sale Triggers Reorder Alert

Employees will be notified when a reorder alert is triggered due to the item being sold to a customer.  For instance, if an item is sold (reserved on an order) and there is not enough quantity on hand to cover the item, a reorder alert will appear for the Purchaser to order the item from the vendor.  This notification will give the purchaser a heads up that the item needs to be ordered.

Possible Fraudulent Cash Drawer Opens

Employees are notified when a cash drawer is opened with less cash than it was closed with. For example, if $200 cash is left in a cash drawer at close but is opened with only $100, an alert is sent to the employees on this list.
